Aventine Magic from Evie’s Closet

Evie’s Closet.

Like a real life wardrobe, it’s got a bit of a mix.

There are the early acquisitions which make *you* cringe, but others shriek with delight to find at the back when they’re having a rummage before a girl’s night out. It’s got some classic things that you couldn’t live without, and then there are a few pieces you brought home against your better judgment, simply because they captured your imagination.

The Aventine Gown slots firmly into the last category.

It’s been a while now since I’ve done something especially for the Fae of Second Life, those gentle folks who like to cloak themselves in pretty, and take advantage of the “Fly” button. But the Aventine is for anyone with a little magic in their soul.

Purple Gown

I created a full, ballgown skirt with sculpted petals bursting from the waistline, with bud-tipped stamen giving off a soft glow for some added interest. Beneath them, the unfurled petals swing and sway with your every movement, while drops of bright morning dew gather around the skirt’s hemline.

YellowGreen Gown

When you’re done feeling like the Faerie Queen, grand and gorgeous in all her organic glory, you can de-frock and slip into the little empire line dress included with the set. Light as a whisper, all you need to add is a pair of wings from Fancy Fairy and you’re up and flying with the wind.

The set comes with two sleeve options. One bold, full sleeve which echos the design of the ballgown skirt, and one which matches the lighter dress, made up of gentle petals.

They are interchangeable between both Gowns, as is the Elizabethan-style collar which flares out for added drama, held on around your shoulders with an impossibly delicate chain.

The Gown comes in six rich color choices, and if you’re just looking for something to make you feel, beautiful, magical or even just a little bit special, head on over to Evie’s Closet and check them out.

As a special treat, the icing on the cake, the gilding on the lily… Faery Sola from Studio Sidhe has conjured up matching bangles for each Aventine Gown. Check them out at the Main Store, or visit Studio Sidhe.
