Happy Holidays from The Giving Circle 2011

Once again in 2011 a group of creators have come together to spread the holiday cheer a little wider than their own customer base. Why give away something lovely to only some, when you could share it with many more? This is the idea behind The Giving Circle.

Each participant has a Yule or Christmas Tree in their store, and beneath, everybody has rezzed a gift that is absolutely free – not $50L, not $10L. Just free. You’re welcome to visit any of the stores listed below to collect the tokens of appreciation for your continued support, along with our best Holiday wishes.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll find:

Balderdash / Frippery / The Arcanum
Saiyge Lotus of Balderdash has donated a gorgeous art piece which features gentle animated textures that took my breath away.

Frippery offers up two adorable adornments for your nose – Also both animated. You’ll receive a sweet Yuletide Butterfly and a Dancing Snowflake. Zoom in and marvel at the teeny-tiny details always found in Frippery’s pieces.

From The Arcanum, comes the generous gift of a Magic Wand, complete with several spells. I had a great deal of fun playing around with this one!

The Looking Glass / Ruby's Irish Pub
The Looking Glass has gifted two items, a lush, Christmas hearth with a cracking fire and all the trimmings, along with a cafe table and chairs, bearing some delicious hot cocoa.

Completing the tableau are two art pieces from Skusting Dagger.

Patron / Falconrose / MacMoragh and Muse
Patron has donated a steaming hot bowl of chocolate cocoa, (In case your pot from The Looking Glass runs out!) a Holiday Reindeer Cuddle Buddy and a festive holiday wreath which includes a blinking light animation.

Falconrose offers up a lovely aculpted Fairy Light as well as a Dragon Mask (Available only at some stores, and not pictured, but you can see it here.)

Worn in the picture is the holiday gift for Ladies from MacMoragh and Muse. There’s a men’s version too, so drag the boys along!

Mole End Bed
From me, there’s a Dreamless Forest Bed – Mistletoe & Pine from my {Mole End} store.

It comes with 5 animated poses for a single sitter and one couples pose. Decked with Pine Cones and strung with Mistletoe, it’s the perfect place for a holiday nap.

Fallen Gods / Libertine
Alia from Fallen Gods had one complaint about this picture. “You’re not naked.”

Actually, I thought I’d simply show you the items offered up by his two labels, and let -you- get creative with the results. Clothing optional, of course.

Firstly, from Fallen Gods, is a -gorgeous- pendant, for men & for women. My photography doesn’t do it justice – This is one of my new faves.

Secondly, from his new venture, Libertine, comes a… well, it’s a gag. But I love it, it’s very Alia and I’ve tucked it away safely in my inventory. You just never know. 😉 If you haven’t checked out Libertine yet – You should.

Cerridwens Cauldron / Moonstruck & Fantavar
And lucky last – At least at the time of publication – are a sweet little Christmas Mouse from Moonstruck & Fantavar and a lovely necklace (Again men & women’s version’s offered) from Elicio Ember of Cerridwen’s Cauldron.

So there you have it, folks! What are you waiting for? Go and click away at the gifty-goodness and maybe take the time to visit each individual store and see what else they have to offer as the year draws to a close. I know they’d appreciate it. 🙂

Much love always,

Evie. xo

  1. I still complain, but I love the post anyway, thanks for doing it Evie and wish you the best for this Holidays season

  2. Thanks for blogging this Evie. I have to say I was so drawn to this idea when Sharni kindly asked if I would like to participate and though it’s been lovely to watch people gather and enjoy our collective gifts there’s been an additional bonus in as much as I’ve met some intriguing & charming Creators as we crossed paths setting out our personal offerings under each others trees. I look forward to do this for many years to come.

    Thanks again and Happy Holidays.
